The McKernin Brothers from Black Rock and Pat Grant from West Bathurst fought in the Civil War. Angus Baherald of Janeville and Joseph Doucet of West Bathurst also fought south of the New Brunswick border. John Lavigne was born in Bathurst in 1869 and fought in the Boer War and later fought at Gallipoli with the Australian Army. He went on to fight in World War I. 101 pages 6 x 9 with several photographs.
