Eliza of Pleasant Valley her Family, Church, and Community in Nineteenth Century Cornwallis Township, Kings County, Nova Scotia by James Doyle Davison, Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada.  Copyright 1983.  First edition. Appears to be a private printing. 188 pages with index.

Nineteen year-old Eliza Ann Chipman married her cousin aged 46 - the Rev William Chipman (Baptist) and became stepmother to his eight children.  She kept a secret journal from age 16 for thirty years 1823-1853.

A most interesting book with lots of names. Many interesting items from the Day Book. It could be considered  “a memoir of the excellent woman - Mrs. Eliza Ann Chipman”

Signed by author. Gift presentation on first page.  Very good condition.

Book 1193    $39.00 plus $10.00 handling and shipping within North America
