William Simonds came to America in 1635. on the ship Safety.

Judith Phippen born 1619 of Wedmore Parish, Somerset, England came to America on the ship "Planter". On board were the Peabodys, Perleys, Carters, Haywards, Peters and others.  Judith Phippen married first to James Hayward and secondly to William Simonds and had 12 children. Judith died at age 71 in 1690..  A grandson  James Simonds was born in Haverhill, Mass and with younger brother Richard  set up a Trading Post at the mouth of the St  John River  where their uncle, Captan Moses Hazen was in charge of the garrison - Fort Frederick.

This book is filled with day to day life, relative connections, business associates, photos such as a copy of the painting of "The Swiss Cottage" home of T E Millidge and Sarah Millidge by Florence millidge of St. John, N.B.   Photo of Sarah Ann de Blois Millidge and other photos.

This is a book filled with information for those researching the early families of Saint John and their descendants.

128 pages.  Hard red cover.  Very good condition for a used 30 year old book - almost as new. Now markings except a few neatly correted dates. I consider this a "hard to find book"
