James Lamoreaux, was born in 1758 in New York and married to Martha Cross in 1795 in St. John's Church, Gagetown, New Brunswick. He left New Brunswick in 1808 for Ontario. He died at the age of 111 years and three months in Pickering Township, Ontario.
The compiler, Carl Smith is a fifth great-grandson of the French Huguenot, André Lamoreaux, and for over 30 years, he collected genealogy related materials on this man's descendants in preparation for the publication of "A Line of Descent."

George Taylor Lamoreaux was born in 1805 in Carleton, Saint John, New Brunswick - died 1864 in Isle of Woods, Norton, NB. He was buried 1864 in Episcopal Church Yard, Norton. His wife was Susannah Craft Wetmore .
Jane Lamoreaux born 1817 in Wayne Co, New York married Ranson Loveless.
