published by Coles - Copyright 1974. Soft cover. 543 pages. The author was the first English speaking
person to visit and publicly describe the regions of the Upper Great
Lakes and the Upper Mississippi, in addition to providing early
descriptions of French Canada. He visited and described 12 Indian
Nations. Illustrated with reproductions of the originnal copper-plates
plus 2 contemporary fold-out maps. John Carver (1710-1780) was born in
Weymouth, Mass to David & Hannah (Dyer) Carver.
